Daimler Truck Italia: zero-emission mobility and technological innovation

Daimler Truck Italia is in the Mobility Climate Champion Area
Daimler Truck Italia wwill take center stage in Mobility Climate Champion, the NetZero Milan initiative, a space dedicated to sustainable road transport solutions. The company stands out for its commitment to the transition toward zero-emission mobility, offering a concrete example of how technology can reduce the environmental impact of the transport sector.

“Participating in NetZero Milan is a valuable opportunity to reaffirm our leadership role in the shift to zero-emission mobility,” explains Maurizio Pompei, CEO of Daimler Truck Italia. “We care deeply about the issue of polluting emissions and have always been pioneers in adopting cutting-edge, innovative solutions. Our approach is based on the belief that achieving a low-impact vehicle fleet is only possible through a combined product offering that reflects the current state of the art across multiple technologies. From highly efficient next-generation diesel engines (compatible since 2016) with renewable HVO biofuel, to the introduction of new, highly aerodynamic cabins, to 100% electric vehicles and hydrogen-powered Fuel Cell trucks—these are set to play a key role in the future of mobility.

NetZero Milan provides an ideal stage to showcase our tangible commitment to advancing increasingly green and innovative solutions. That’s why we’ve chosen to present the new Mercedes-Benz eActros 600, the first fully electric long-haul truck with a range of over 500 km on a single charge, awarded International Truck of the Year 2025 for its innovative technological concept. It’s a tangible result of a long-term vision that places sustainability at the heart of our Group’s mission.

But we don’t focus solely on developing green vehicles; we also prioritize implementing sustainable production systems. Daimler Truck Group aims to achieve CO₂-neutral production across all its plants and business segments worldwide by 2039. Its European production sites, including the Woerth plant, have already been CO₂-neutral since 2022—thanks in part to the purchase of green electricity from solar, wind, and hydro sources.”

Daimler Truck Italia will thus bring to NetZero Milan a concrete example of innovation, contributing to the international dialogue on the challenges and solutions of the energy transition in heavy transport — a market that plays a key role in the decarbonization of all industrial sectors.
